This is a verse/promise/truth that I will be relying on a lot the next 70 days. I start my doctoral comprehensive exams. My PhD has been the main reason I haven't been blogging. :(  I am hoping that once I am done with my comps, I can get back to it. I have so much I want to share, but I just don't have the time right now. I just didn't want you all to think that I have completely forgotten about my blog - it's just on a hold until I get through my comps. :) Thanks for your love and support!

Maxi Skirt

One of my sweet students approached me after class a couple of weeks ago and explained that she was making and selling  maxi skirts to raise funds for a mission trip she is going on in January to Guatemala.  I told her I would love one, so she brought her measuring tape to class one day and a few days later she brought me this maxi skirt...

The price of the skirts are $10 plus the price of the fabric.  Such a great deal!

I had her pick out the fabric - just told her I wanted something purple - for SBU of course.

What I Wore Wednesday {Limited Love}

I received a sweet text from my best friend this morning telling me that she missed my blog.  It made me think that I really do miss it too.  So why am I in this blogging funk?!?  I don't know why to be honest.  But I'm really hoping to get out of it.  Has anyone every experienced this?  Please tell me I'm not alone...  

Anyway... my friend said she especially misses my WIWW posts, so this post is for you Nichole. :)

What I Wore Wednesday

This week is flying by... probably because we didn't have classes on Monday. :) :)

I had someone ask me the other day about how I came up with What I Wore Wednesday.

I NEVER wear my hair up {unless I am working out}. 

But it was rainy this morning, and I was lazy. :)

I walked into my brother's office today and he didn't recognize me at first. lol

Several people have also told me that I look like a ballerina today. 
Not sure how to take that... ha.

Insta-Friday

It's... FRIDAY!! :)

It has been a great week, but I am ready for the weekend!  I am going to KC this weekend to visit family and friends --- yay!

Last weekend two of my friends visited.  We had such a great time!!  One of my friends has a sweet baby girl...

They were still in town on Monday, so they visited me at work...

We went to McDonald's {which shows I really love this kid, because I am not a fan of McD's}...

After McDonald's we went to the first SBU football game...

What I Wore Wednesday {lace, coral, & floral}

I honestly didn't mean to rhyme in the post title, but when it happened, I left it. :)

This summer my outfits consisted of colored shorts and a plain/neutral tee or nike shorts and a workout tank.  And I loved every minute of it.  :)  At the same time, I have enjoyed "dressing up" again this week.

How is your week going so far?  Mine has been great.  Last night I started a new Bible study at my house with a new group of SBU students {ladies}.  We are going to be studying Lies Women Believe.  I can't wait to share more about this study on here.  I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! :)
